Next Westminster Pharmaceuticals Scholarship Awarded to USF Health Master’s Student

Tampa, FL – Westminster Pharmaceuticals is thrilled to announce the next recipient of the Westminster Pharmaceuticals Scholarship. Md Sakil Amin, a Pharmaceutical Nanotechnology graduate student at the University of South Florida, has been selected as the deserving recipient.

Amin's dedication to academic excellence and commitment to the field of pharmaceuticals set him apart as an exceptional candidate for this scholarship. As part of his capstone project, Amin will be undertaking research on the application of nanotechnology for respiratory disease treatment during the upcoming semester. With respiratory infections on the rise, particularly in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, Amin's research holds great promise for advancing medical solutions in this critical area.

Amin's journey to higher education has been one marked by perseverance and resilience. Despite facing financial challenges and periods of discouragement, he has remained committed to his pursuit of academic achievement. Now on track to graduate in the Summer of 2025 with the support of this scholarship, Amin is poised to make significant contributions to the pharmaceutical industry.

“This scholarship will help me focus on school as my priority rather than focusing on working as many hours as I would to continue my studies,” says Amin. “When I enter the workforce, I will be prepared and equipped to be an innovative, high-contributing employee.”

"We’re proud to support Sakil in his academic journey and commend his dedication to his education and dreams of driving innovation in pharmaceuticals," says Louis Sanchez, CEO of Westminster Pharmaceuticals. "His passion and determination exemplify Westminster values, and we feel confident that Sakil will continue to excel both at school and in his career."

The Westminster Pharmaceuticals Scholarship aims to empower promising USF students like Amin, who demonstrate great potential in the pharmaceutical field. Westminster Pharmaceuticals is committed to fostering the next generation of pharmaceutical leaders.

USF Health Taneja College of Pharmacy students interested in applying for the Westminster Pharmaceuticals Scholarship can apply through the scholarships section of the USF student portal.
